We at IVB Umwelttechnik GmbH are delighted to have been a member of the Environment and Climate Alliance (Umwelt- und Klimaallianz) since November 2023. Romy Metzner was presented with the official certificate at the alliance’s conference in Chemnitz on November 20, 2023. The following measures paved the way for our successful admission:
Climate Protection and Energy
-
- LED lighting upgrades have been completed throughout the production halls, and the implementation for our outdoor lighting is currently underway.
- During the construction of our new restroom and locker room facilities, great care was taken to install eco-friendly features, such as water-saving rainfall showerheads.
Raw Materials and Circular Economy
-
- We repurpose incoming single-use pallets from deliveries to build transport pallets for internal operations.
Nature Conservation, Biodiversity, and Forests
-
- A 6,450-square-foot (600 m²) company green space, acting as a boundary to neighboring properties, was landscaped with trees and shrubs. In addition to promoting biodiversity, it serves as a noise barrier and privacy screen.
Immission Control
-
- Furthermore, it was important to us to take measures to reduce the sound power level to a minimum—and in some cases eliminate it entirely—when bottles are deposited into our glass recycling containers.
We firmly believe that climate and environmental protection is everyone’s business, and we are proud to take proactive measures to support and improve climate goals.
