Toward the end of 2021, we signed up once again for the Open Company Week.
During this event, young students have the opportunity to explore various local businesses and get an exclusive guided tour through parts of different companies in the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge) that are usually closed to the public. Accompanied by our technical operations manager, small groups of students and parents toured our company grounds, following the precise journey of a product from raw material to the finished goods.
After the tour, the participants were invited into the usually strictly restricted areas of our prototype workshop to try their hand at working with steel and using one of our welding machines. Under the professional guidance of our welding specialist and equipped with the proper safety gear, they welded our laser-cut company logo onto its designated base. Once cooled down, the welded signs were, of course, theirs to keep as a souvenir.
